The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

“On Friday morning, September 15, the last day of the conference, Pope Saint John Paul’s decision was received back by fax:  “Accept what can be affirmed, and vigorously denounce what you cannot accept.”  That was what Mary Ann Glendon did, in a closing statement that welcomed the conference’s sections on the needs of women living in poverty, on improving literacy and education, on ending violence against women, and on the importance of women’s access to capital, land, technology, and employment.  Then Glendon blasted the documents’ “exaggerated individualism,” which had compromised commitments made in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  Surely, she said, “this international gathering could have done more for women and girls than to leave them alone with their rights!”  Witness to Hope by George Weigel

When in the course of history, Man is challenged to compromise his fundamental right to the sacredness and dignity of his being from the moment of conception to natural death; the inevitable right of Man is to respond uncompromisingly to Truth.  Truth must prevail against any form of delusion that freedom is only found in the world’s contagion that the freedom to choose is the inevitable right of Man.  Freedom allows man to conceptualize Truth in its very essence; Truth that brings more liberation in the Heart of Man than the capability and ability to freely choose what is beneath him.  A law system that degrades the very humanity of life becomes a law system against Truth; and will inevitably deconstruct against itself.  The challenge that is facing our day in age blinds Man from this truth through a materialism and relativism that no longer distinguishes and acknowledges the Origin and Beginning of all that is and will forever be.  We face a conflict in Our Nation that has been formed from its very beginning, a persecution of the fundamental right to the Freedom of Religion!  The very creation of this country began from a persecution of this inalienable right; and it is now being challenged through a healthcare system that blindly signifies the destruction of human life within the womb of woman.  The very Conscience of Man is directly being attacked through the hidden agenda of a law system that degrades the very dignity of existence; Man is to live and to breathe and to grow just as any human being has a right to Life!  When in the face of this challenge, Man must stand firm to the Truth of Life and vigorously denounce the degradation of the very dignity of who he is in the eyes of His Maker; the Creator and End of all that is Living.  Fortitude and sacrifice reveals to Mankind the seriousness and weight of the consequences that comes from denouncing what is inevitably against the undeniable Right to Live!  Most inexorably the right to live within the womb of woman!  A Law System that denies this right will have much to answer to on the Day of Judgment; those who participate with full knowledge and free consent of the will towards an end that leads to the destruction of the Unborn is not fit for the Kingdom of God!

 O Mercy of God, Divine Fire of Love and Charity, You have called Man to know full well of the consequences of our decisions in this life that will forever be judged by Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, Light from Light, True God from True God!  Healer of all who are broken, refresh your children in Your Most Merciful and Infinite Mercy and reveal to us of How Intimate a Savior You are to those who Trust and our Confident in the Power of Your Might!  Overflow the graces we need to respond most generously to Your Call to Respect all Life from the Moment of Conception to Natural Death!  Grant us Your Abiding and Divine Presence that we may in turn know of the Mercy that You bestow on Your children who trust that it is You Alone who will save those who are in need of Your constant care to live more fully the Truth and Splendor of Mans Dignity as Your Image and Likeness!  Create Anew the Hearts of those who have been broken by abortion and make them Witnesses to an end of this great abomination to God, Our Creator.  We commend to You, our Country and Nation that was built and created under You, O Divine Savior, True God from True God!  Overturn the lies with Truth and reveal to us the Power of Your Might through the Faith and Witnesses of those who defend the Dignity and Sanctity of All Human Life!  O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions but in your mercy hear and answer me.  Amen.
